Over the course of the movie, Caesar and his camp go to war with Alpha-Omega and its leader Colonel J. Two thousand years later, George Taylor recognized it from the symbols ('') on the fins, and knew it to be the Doomsday Bomb which was being developed before he launched in 1972.
The Alpha-Omega Bomb was a large atomic missile manufactured some time in the late 20th century. The conclusion of the reboot trilogy, War for the Planet of the Apes was released in 2017 and follows Caesar as he and his tribe enter conflict with a rogue military outfit named Alpha-Omega.
