Picking up where Dawn of the Planet of the Apes left off with Caesar’s personal journey, the third movie in the series sees the chimpanzee attempt to find peace and meaning in his life and the world around him. Wesley McCullough ( Woody Harrelson), who is obsessed with killing the intelligent leader and making humans the dominant species once again. Over the course of the movie, Caesar and his camp go to war with Alpha-Omega and its leader Colonel J. Two thousand years later, George Taylor recognized it from the symbols ('') on the fins, and knew it to be the Doomsday Bomb which was being developed before he launched in 1972.
The Alpha-Omega Bomb was a large atomic missile manufactured some time in the late 20th century. The conclusion of the reboot trilogy, War for the Planet of the Apes was released in 2017 and follows Caesar as he and his tribe enter conflict with a rogue military outfit named Alpha-Omega.
